Missing Northern California

I finally finished my painting of the Northern California hills. This is how I always think of them--golden (i.e. dry) with some scatterings of oaks. When you take Bodega highway towards the ocean, there is one section where you come down the road and suddenly there is a large pond, which always seems bluer than should be natural. It is right before Bodega town and is one of my favorite views. This isn't quite the same, but it was what I was thinking of when I painted it. And yes, I really do miss Northern California and its scenery and people and arts.
